 Easter Egg Ride registration = $10 entry per bike.
All money will be donated to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and give you an entry into the prize draw for you and your pillion.
Prizes

Prize for the largest donation – and prizes for the riders and pillions – free entry

Prizes from Stay Upright, Draggin Jeans, Hornee Jeans, Neds Wear, Sartso Jeans, Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket, Deus Ex Machina, Rossi Boots, Armadillo Scooterwear and Ugly Fish sunglasses.

Registration and donations
Arrive at one of three starting points before 9;00am -  complete your ride registration, prize draw entry and make your donation.
Club’s and individuals may raise money prior to the event and make donations on the day.  The person making the donation will be allocated the total amount unless they provide the list for all individual donations.

Donations can also be made at the Children’s Hospital between 10.00am - 11.30am.
Feel free to just donate even if you can’t join in the ride.

Survive the Ride Association (STRA) – Easter Egg Ride is a motorcycle safety and fund raising ride, organised by the STRA and supported by the motorcycle and apparel industry.

Motorcycle safety component of the event
All participating motorcycle riders will be able to get safety information at the STRA registration desk.  The STRA will provide a safety briefing at the start of the ride.
STRA encourages all riders and pillions to wear protective gear and ride safely to, from and during this ride.

Fund raising component:
The ride is organised to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
This year we aim to raise at least $2,000 to go towards the purchase of craft and therapy equipment  for the kids who are in hospital.  They did not choose to be there – your donation will help them have some fun while in hospital.

Program for the day:
The only requirement is that riders arrive at the start point of their choice between 8:00 am and 9:00 am to make their donation and register for  the ride.  There will be an STRA registration desk and coffee stall so you can have a break and chat.
You can make this a stop on your ride for the day or you may wish to participate in the ride to the hospital (Map will be provided at the registration desk).
When the ride leaves at 9:00 am, follow the lead riders who will ride the route displayed on the map.

All prize winners will be drawn on March 7, 2010 at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead at 11:00 am at the completion of the Easter Egg Ride. Prize winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email.
 

On the Ride, Survive the Ride:

  • Obey all traffic lights, speed signs, stop/give way signs and road rules
  • Obey all instruction given by police
  • Do not stop traffic to allow riders to pass through intersections
  • Always stay behind the lead riders
  • Always stay in the same line as the lead riders
  • Keep a safe distance from the bike in front
  • If you stop at the traffic lights you become the lead rider of that group so remember the route
  • Please watch for pedestrians and speed limit around the Hospital
  • Several red light cameras are now also speed cameras so stick to the speed limit.
